Toyota Trinity Storm Water Park CSS Separation Project

This project includes the installation of a new storm water collection system to separate
the storm water from the combined sanitary sewer in downtown Evansville.  This work will consist of the construction of approximately 4,400 linear feet of 12” to 36” storm sewers, 29 new storm sewer manholes and inlets, as well as the installation of a 1 million gallon subsurface detention basin at the site of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at the intersection of NW 3rd Street and Vine Street. 


The project will also include the replacement of existing water mains within the storm sewer collection system
project area and consists of the replacement of approximately 4,500 linear feet of 6” to 20” water mains, 60 valves, 9 fire hydrants, 19 water service relocations and restoration.

Project Update

Recent Progress (March 5 to March 11)

  • Blankenberger completed excavation for the Vine Street Chambers at Vine Street.

  • Blankenberger began placement of foundation stone in the Vine Street Chambers at Vine Street.

  • Blankenberger set structures 318, 319, 320, and 321 in the Vine Manifold at the detention basin.

  • Blankenberger continued installation of the storm sewer in the intersection of NW 3rd Street and Vine Street and set structures STD1-2 and inlet STD1-1A in the intersection.

  • Blankenberger completed the 6” fire service, and 6” water service at 215 Vine Street.

  • Blankenberger reconnected to the salvaged fire hydrant at 215 Vine Street.  

Anticipated Activities for Upcoming Week (March 12 to March 18)

  • Blankenberger intends to complete placement of foundation stone for the Vine Street Chamber at Vine Street.

  • Blankenberger intends to begin placement of chambers and embedment stone for the Vine Street Chambers at Vine Street.

  • Blankenberger intends to continue installation of storm sewer in the intersection of Vine Street and NW 3rd Street.

  • Blankenberger intends to continue installation of storm sewer on Vine Street between NW 3rd Street and NW 2nd Street.
